Danielle and Louise from Sportsister came to us in 2007 to discuss a new venture they wanted to launch called Sportsister. With many years experience in the sports industry including starting their own design consultancy for sportswear, they were well placed to start an online sports magazine for women.
As an online magazine, Sportsister.com provides information for women interested in sport from many different angles. The website has information and news from professional sportswomen, ‘getting started‘ guides, product reviews, events information a forum and more.
We worked with Sportsister to create the brand and then design and build the website.
The website allows them to add articles and content to the website themselves as well as establishing an editorial process as they extend the number of people who can write for them. The website launched in April 2008 and is growing well. Have a look for yourself at www.sportsister.com
A recent review by Webuser magazine awarded the website 4 out of 5 stars.

We have worked with Orange for over 5 years providing user centred design and consultancy services. We have worked on a variety of projects including Mobile and PC applications, website services, icons and graphics, browser plugins and holistic user experience guidelines.
These projects have seen us producing wireframes, graphic designs, icons, strategy recommendations, new product and service ideas, demos, prototypes and even usability material (including plans and reports). We have applied our user experience focus, working alongside internal design teams to produce design specifications and recommendations that have often been developed into service enhancements and changes that are now live for Orange customers.
Recent project examples include:
Redesigning the whole process of signing-up and signing-in on the Orange France website.
Designing the interaction and functionality of the Orange browser toolbar, including a programme of iterative user testing and redesigning.
Designing the experience and graphical look and feel for the email service on the Orange website. We worked on 2 consecutive versions of the service.
An Orange director we have been working with said the following about our MD Stuart Eggleston:
"I was lucky enough to be put in contact with Stuart while looking for a web agency to provide Usability & Interactive Design work for Orange-FT web portal. Stuart has delivered amazing results that exceeded by far my expectations, and always delivered on or ahead of schedule. I would recommend him without any hesitation to any company looking for high end interactive design."

Walney UK Ltd. are a company specialising in the supply of high quality bespoke radiators. They work within the consumer and trade arenas to supply people with radiators that match their projects in style, colour, accessories and of course heat output.
In 2008 we started a project to create the second phase of the website which was to contain a great deal more functionality.
Before starting design work on this second phase we worked with Walney to create an action plan and strategy for what their customers really need. We had to take into account different types of user as well as the requirements from Walney of their commercial needs that should be met by the website. This process produced a plan for the phase 2 website which is now live and complete.
The new website gives users the ability to chose a style of radiator and then configure and order it. People can setup the size of their room as well as other requirements. We also built in a management area of the website for users. This ‘My Walney’ section allows customers to save styles, create projects and generally manage their orders and interaction with Walney. Parragon Publishing are the world´s leading publisher of illustrated non-fiction books. They are based in Bath and came to us to ask us to help them redesign and launch their main website. They wanted to create a good impression on the amount of books they have and also to make the website a bit of a showcase of these books.
We worked with Parragon to design and build them a Flash-based website that incorporates a feel of moving around a 3d environment. As Parragon operate in so many countries, the website also needed to support several language and regional variations. We built a simple content management system for Parragon so they can update the text in the website within the various languages.
Have a look at the Parragon Publishing website to see our work and get a taste of the books and gifts they produce.

Withy King is one of the largest law firms in the South West. With offices in Bath, Marlborough, Swindon, Trowbridge and London communication and sharing information internally is a key concern. Withy King engaged us to create an Intranet for them that would bring together lots of different systems and create a central place for sharing company information, news and tools.
We started by consulting with Withy King on the structure and design of the Intranet, using their internal resource on the project as well as our own. Once we had a defined design we moved to production.
At the end of the development we handed over the Intranet to Withy King and gave them instruction in its use so they could encourage relevant internal staff in its use and management.

Starting a new church in a highly multi-cultural part of London contains a number of challenges. The leaders of this new church, called Emmanuel Church, asked us to help them address some of these challenges through their brand and website.
We started the process by hosting a workshop day in our offices in Bath and invited the leaders of Emmanuel Church along. We discussed their strategy and plans as well as their values and how the church should be seen by the public. We turned this strategy and workshop into the design for their brand, which evolved into the design of their new website.
Emmanuel Church have now picked up the batten and regularly update their website, via the content management system we integrated into the design for them. See how it's progressing at emmanuelchurchlondon.org.
